Hi! I’m Asa, I am 10 years old and I go to St. Louis de Montfort school and I just finished fourth grade. I am excited to start fifth grade in the fall. My favorite subjects are math and science.

I love helping others and being a part of my community. Last fall my sister and I collected bedding for a local charity the builds beds for kids in our community. I also like to volunteer any way I can and I think it’s important to help the unhoused community.

Outside of school, I stay busy with sports. I play soccer for Fellowship of Christian Athletes Central Coast and the Madrid Premier Soccer Club. I started playing soccer in 2022 and It’s my favorite sport! I also play football with Orcutt Youth Football and basketball in the winter with the Boys and Girls Club.

This is my fifth year in 4-H. I’m part of Sunrise 4-H in Santa Maria, and I do scrapbook, crafts, baking, sewing, sheep, and community service. I am also working on an ag mechanics project for the fair and have learned basic wood working and welding.

Last year I raised my first market lamb, Bella, and we had a great time at the fair. I placed high in showmanship and market and I was very proud of the work Bella and I did. She was a great sheep and although I miss her a lot I know I loved her a lot and she had a great life. This year I am raising another market lamb and we are hoping to have a successful fair again!

When I’m not doing all that, I’m probably outside taking care of my chickens and dogs or playing in the backyard with my little sister.
